TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

We require a deposit equivalent to the two (2) hour minimum booking period plus 5% GST to secure and finalise your booking.

You will be sent a company invoice that will have the deposit amount that can be paid with credit card. If you prefer to pay e-transfer please make payable to book@moving-pros.ca, through your banking institution. This deposit will be applied to your grand total.

Please note that on the day of your move/service your booking may take longer depending on several factors. However, we charge in 15 minute increments past the two (2) hour minimum booking period. Therefore, you will only be charged for the time it takes to complete the move/service. 

Full payment is due and required upon the completion of the move. We accept the following payment methods: cash, credit card, and e-transfer. There is an additional 5% tax on top of the fee for credit card and e transfer transactions. Late payments are subject to a late payment penalty.

Please note the following terms & conditions of Moving Pros, referred herein as the “company”:

  1. We reserve the right not to service you under conditions that, at our sole discretion, we consider dangerous, unsanitary, abusive or contained outside the scope of household moving. In the event we exercise this right, we will not be liable to you or any other entity for direct or consequential damages. Customer will be charged a minimum of one (1) hour of labour, at the Company’s discretion.
  2. Company is not responsible for any self-packed items damaged as a result of improper packing procedures and techniques. Company is not responsible for for incidental damage to common areas whatsoever. They company is not responsible for any damage when shipping items that exhibit an inherent vice unless otherwise stated. The company is not responsible for damages in cases where mechanical condition is unknown or damages to the interior or exterior inherent to items being shipped unless such damage was clearly noted and documented in writing during the appointment set-up.
  3. Company is not responsible for any damage to items or premises as a result of structural limitations imposed by the items or premises.
  4. All parking and loading areas are to be reserved during your move by the Customer prior to the Company arriving at any location along the Customer route. Customer acknowledges that Company’s trucks weigh in excess of 26,000 pounds and may potentially damage Customer’s driveway. Therefore, the Customer must inform the Company 48 hours before the Customer’s move if the Company’s truck cannot drive onto or park in the Customer’s driveway. Under no circumstances will the Company be responsible for damaged driveways.
  5. If Company causes damage as a result of moving goods under Customer’s instructions, against our advice, and where moving the goods in the manner instructed is likely to cause damage, Company shall not be liable.
  6. The Company must be notified immediately of any loss or damage at the time the goods are handed to the Customer. For goods which the Company delivers, Customer must give the Company detailed notice in writing of any loss and damage immediately.  The request will be assessed and if applicable, a discount will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion.
  7. Company is in no way responsible for damage to items that were pre existing or occurred prior to date of the service completion or after the date of the service completion.
  8. The company will not be liable for particle board, fragile or Ikea furniture that is not fully dissembled and or wrapped and protected by our movers. 
  9. You must list the items that require dissembling/assembling and please submit photos so we can ensure correct tools are stocked.  
  10. Any moves booked after 9am are considered secondary moves. Arrival time can only be estimated, as the secondary move will be dependent on the completion of the first daily move.
